Troubleshooting

Poster arrived creased or damaged.

Contact the retailer immediately with photographic evidence. GB Eye typically ships rolled to prevent this, but damage can occur during transit.

Poster won't lay flat.

Ensure the poster has been left flat under weight for an extended period (24+ hours). Gentle heat from a hairdryer on a low setting from a distance might help, but use with extreme caution to avoid damaging the print.

Adhesive is not sticking to the wall or poster.

Ensure both the wall surface and the poster edges are clean, dry, and free from dust or oils. Test adhesive in an inconspicuous area first.

  • Ships rolled to protect the poster during transit.

Setup, Compatibility & Care

Setup:

  1. Unrolling: Carefully unroll the poster upon arrival. It is recommended to lay it flat on a clean surface, perhaps under heavy books, for a few hours or overnight to allow it to flatten completely.
  2. Mounting: Decide whether to frame the poster or hang it directly. For direct hanging, use poster putty, double-sided tape, or thumbtacks along the edges. Ensure the wall surface is clean and dry before applying any adhesive.
  3. Framing: If using a frame, measure the poster (91.5 x 61cm) to ensure compatibility with your chosen frame, such as the GB Eye Maxi frame.

Compatibility:

  • Compatible with most standard poster hanging methods.
  • Specifically designed to fit GB Eye Maxi frames for a seamless look.

Care:

  • Dust gently with a soft, dry cloth. Avoid using abrasive cleaners or excessive moisture, as this can damage the glossy finish and paper.
  • Keep away from direct sunlight to prevent fading over time.
  • Handle the poster by the edges to avoid transferring fingerprints onto the print surface.
