Alliums are incredibly beautiful flowers with long, upright stems carrying huge globes made up of dozens of individual flowers, giving them a spectacular architectural quality. Perfect for container growing, Allium 'Ostara' is a compact variety with vibrant purple-red flowers in May and June. Recommended by the RHS as a 'Plant for Pollinators', these flowers are irresistible to bees and butterflies. The metal bucket planter, featuring rope handles and a brushed white finish, provides a rustic feel and contains everything needed to grow striking Alliums on a patio or balcony. Simply plant the bulbs in autumn, and they will produce lush grey-green leaves in spring from which the flower stems will rise. The planter is reusable and can be used for summer bedding after the Alliums have finished flowering, with the Alliums returning every spring. Dried flower stems also last for years. Supplied as a metal planter, 3 x Allium bulbs (size 12+), and 1 x Compost. Bulbs grow up to a height of 40 cm (16 in). Planter dimensions approx. 19H x 20D cm (8 x 8½ in). Harmful if eaten/skin irritant.
