Seachem Flourish Advance is a biological growth enhancer designed for aquarium hobbyists looking to promote robust development in their aquatic plants. By utilizing natural phytohormones, this formula stimulates cell division and root expansion, making it an ideal choice for both new and established planted tanks. FAQs
Is Seachem Flourish Advance safe for shrimp?
Yes, the product is completely non-toxic and safe for all aquatic organisms, including shrimp and snails.
Do I need to turn off my UV sterilizer when dosing?
It is recommended to turn off UV sterilizers and ozone generators for a few hours after dosing to allow the plants to absorb the phytohormones effectively.
Can I use this with other Seachem fertilizers?
Absolutely. Flourish Advance is designed to be a growth enhancer and works synergistically with the Flourish line and other macro/micronutrient fertilizers.
What happens if I forget a daily dose?
Missing a single dose will not harm your plants, but consistent daily use is recommended to maintain the metabolic stimulation provided by the hormones.
Does this product expire?
While it does not have a strict expiration date, it is best used within 12-24 months of opening to ensure the active ingredients remain potent.
Troubleshooting
Plants are not showing immediate growth
Flourish Advance has a 10-14 day induction period focusing on root growth; continue consistent dosing and ensure adequate lighting is provided.
Visible sediment in the bottle
This is normal for biological growth enhancers; shake the bottle well before each use to redistribute the ingredients.
Algae growth increases after dosing
While the product is safe, ensure you are not overdosing and that your lighting period is not excessive, as stimulated plant growth requires a balance of light and carbon.
