Specific FDD-HY Feline Allergenic Management Dry Food is designed for cats suffering from chronic food sensitivities or dermatological and gastrointestinal issues caused by food intolerances. The primary benefit of this formula is its use of hydrolysed salmon protein, which minimizes the risk of triggering an immune response, though pet owners should note that it requires a transition period when switching from a standard diet to ensure digestive comfort.

This formula is designed for adult cats. Consult your veterinarian for appropriate growth-stage diets if you have a kitten with food sensitivities.
If used for a food intolerance trial, it is typically recommended for 8 to 12 weeks. If the cat benefits from it, your vet may suggest long-term maintenance.
The formula is designed for sensitive cats and avoids common allergens, but please check the specific ingredient list on the back of the pack for your cat's unique needs.
During an elimination diet, you must feed this food exclusively to get accurate results.
Store in a cool, dry area, preferably in an airtight container to keep the kibble fresh.
Try warming the kibble slightly with a small amount of warm water or mixing in a tiny portion of a vet-approved hypoallergenic wet topper.
Ensure no other food, treats, or access to outside prey is occurring; consult your veterinarian if symptoms do not improve after 8 weeks.
When introducing this food, perform a gradual transition over 7 days by mixing it with the cat's previous food in increasing proportions. Always ensure the cat has access to fresh, clean drinking water, as dry diets require adequate hydration to support kidney and urinary tract health. Store the bag in a cool, dry place and keep it tightly sealed between meals to maintain the integrity of the hydrolysed protein components. Do not supplement with treats or table scraps during the trial period, as these may contain hidden allergens that invalidate the dietary management process.
