Setup, Compatibility & Care
To ensure your jar lasts for years, follow these guidelines:
- Placement: Choose a level surface to prevent tipping, especially if placing the jar in high-traffic outdoor walkways.
- Drainage: If using outdoors, consider placing a layer of gravel at the base if you intend to plant directly, or ensure your internal liner has holes to prevent water buildup.
- Cleaning: Wipe the exterior gently with a soft, damp cloth. Avoid using harsh chemical cleaners or abrasive scouring pads, which can strip the antique-effect finish.
- Winter Care: Move the jar indoors during freezing winter months. Even if rated for outdoor use, extreme freeze-thaw cycles can put stress on any decorative material.
