Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setup: These brake pads are designed as a direct replacement for your vehicle's existing front brake pads. Ensure your vehicle is safely supported on jack stands and the wheels are removed. Carefully follow the manufacturer's procedure for caliper removal and pad replacement. It is crucial to clean the caliper carrier and ensure all hardware is free of rust and debris before installing the new pads.
Bedding-In Procedure: For optimal performance and longevity, a specific bedding-in procedure is required:
- Perform 5-10 moderate stops from approximately 30-40 mph down to 10 mph. Do not bring the vehicle to a complete stop.
- Perform 3-5 harder stops from approximately 50-60 mph down to 15 mph. Again, avoid complete stops.
- Allow the brakes to cool completely by driving gently for several minutes without heavy braking.
Compatibility: The EBC Brakes Bluestuff NDX pads (MPN: DP51594NDX) are specifically designed for the front set of certain performance vehicles. Always verify compatibility with your vehicle's make, model, and year before purchase. Check if your application requires R90 approval for road legality.
Care: Keep brake components clean. Avoid using harsh solvents or high-pressure water directly on the pads or calipers. Regularly inspect pads for wear and check brake fluid levels. If you notice excessive dust, a gentle wipe with a dry or slightly damp cloth may help, but avoid aggressive cleaning methods.
