Our keystone jack module is suitable for CAT5, CAT5e & CAT6 cables. This module follows UTP wiring layout of 568A and 568B, with the wiring instructions on the side of the connector to help with an easy installation. Commonly used on faceplates that accept keystone jacks. When fitting onto a faceplate, you can make the connection via non-soldered crimping using an IDC punch down tool, before attaching this module to the faceplate, making the installation process easier as you would usually have to wire this to the plate directly where there isn’t much space. For easy installation, we stock IDC Punch Down tool and various faceplates, please search our shop or feel free to get in touch.
This guide is for anyone building or expanding Ethernet networks, offering a reliable solution for terminating network cables. The key benefit is simplified installation with clear wiring guides. A potential caveat is that it requires a separate IDC punch-down tool for proper termination. This keystone jack module is designed for CAT5, CAT5e, and CAT6 cables, featuring UTP wiring support for both 568A and 568B standards, ensuring compatibility with standard network installations.

Troubleshooting
No network connection after installation
Verify that all wires are correctly seated in their respective color-coded slots and have been properly punched down. Double-check that the wiring standard (568A or 568B) used on both ends of the cable run is consistent.
Slow network speeds or intermittent connectivity
Ensure the cable jacket is fully seated within the jack and that pairs are not over-untwisted. Check that the IDC punch down tool was used correctly to ensure a solid connection. Inspect the cable for damage.
Difficulty punching down wires
Make sure you are using a compatible IDC punch down tool and that it is oriented correctly. Ensure the wires are properly aligned with the slots before using the tool.
