You have likely applied too much oil. Use a clean, dry cloth to buff the surface thoroughly until no tacky residue remains.
The wood may be fully saturated or the surface may be dirty. Ensure the board is scrubbed clean and bone-dry before application.
This oil is compatible with all porous wooden surfaces, including bamboo, walnut, maple, and teak chopping boards. It is not suitable for plastic, glass, or stone surfaces. For best care, store the bottle in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight to ensure the integrity of the mineral oil. Always perform a small patch test on the underside of your board if you are unsure about the wood's reaction to maintenance products.
