Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setup Instructions
- Unpack Components: Carefully remove all parts from the packaging and verify against the included instruction manual. Ensure all screws, panels, and the roof section are present.
- Assemble Base: Begin by attaching the side panels to the front and back panels to form the main structure. Follow the numbered steps in the manual for correct alignment.
- Install Bottom Floor: Slide the removable bottom floor into its designated grooves. Ensure it sits securely.
- Attach Roof: Secure the asphalt-covered roof section. Pay attention to how it hinges or fastens, ensuring it can be opened for cleaning.
- Install Door Curtain: Affix the door curtain over the front door opening.
- Place Off Ground: Position the assembled cat house on a flat, stable surface. The elevated design helps keep it off the cold or damp ground.
> Info needed: Specific tools (e.g., screwdriver) required for assembly.
> Info needed: Estimated assembly time for one person.
Compatibility
- Cat Size: This cat house is designed for 1-2 cats, with each cat weighing up to a maximum of 5kg. Larger or multiple cats exceeding this weight limit may find the space cramped or compromise the structure's integrity.
- Placement: Suitable for outdoor use in gardens, patios, or covered areas. Can also be used indoors if desired.
Care and Maintenance
- Regular Cleaning: Utilize the openable roof and removable bottom floor for easy access. Wipe down the interior with a damp cloth and mild, pet-safe cleaner as needed. Ensure it dries completely before re-closing.
- Roof Inspection: Periodically check the asphalt roof for any signs of wear, tears, or damage, especially after harsh weather. Promptly repair any issues to prevent leaks.
- Wood Maintenance: While solid wood is durable, consider applying a pet-safe, non-toxic wood sealant annually to extend its lifespan and maintain its appearance, especially in areas with extreme weather.
- Bedding: Change any internal bedding regularly to maintain hygiene and comfort.
