FAQs

What kind of safety gear should I use?

Always wear eye protection (safety glasses or a face shield). Use appropriate gloves and a dust mask or respirator when necessary.

How do I change the grinding wheels?

Disconnect the power. Consult the manual for specific instructions, but generally, you'll need to loosen the wheel guards, unscrew the wheel nuts, and carefully remove and replace the wheel.

How do I maintain the wire brush?

Inspect the brush for wear and replace it when the bristles are significantly worn or damaged. Remove any debris from the brush after each use.

What type of grinding wheels should I use?

Use wheels designed for the material you are grinding. Consider the grit size (coarse for material removal, fine for finishing).

What is the warranty period?

Please refer to the product documentation or contact the manufacturer for specific warranty information. Typically, SIP products come with a warranty covering manufacturing defects.

How often should I replace the grinding wheels?

The frequency of replacement depends on usage. Check for wear and tear, and replace wheels when they become worn, chipped, or no longer grind effectively.

Troubleshooting

Grinder won't turn on.

Check the power supply and ensure the power cord is securely plugged in. Check the fuse or circuit breaker.

Grinding wheel vibrates excessively.

Check the wheel for damage. Ensure the wheel is correctly mounted and tightened. Inspect the spindle for any damage.

Grinding performance is poor.

The grinding wheel might be worn. Replace the wheel. The workpiece might be too heavily pressed against the wheel.

Wire brush not cleaning effectively.

Check if the wire brush is worn and needs replacing. Ensure the workpiece is pressed firmly against the brush.
