Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setup:
The ACO HexDrain Brickslot Channel is designed to be installed within a prepared trench or sub-base. It typically sits flush with the surrounding surface (e.g., paving slabs, brickwork). Ensure the trench is adequately deep and wide to accommodate the channel and a suitable bedding material, such as concrete or compacted aggregate. The channel should be level or have a slight fall towards the outlet for effective drainage. Connect to a suitable drainage outlet (e.g., soakaway, drainpipe) as required.
Compatibility:
This product is compatible with various hardscaping materials including:
- Brickwork
- Paving slabs
- Concrete
- Tarmac
It is designed for use in domestic settings and can handle loads up to 1.5 tonnes.
Care:
Regular maintenance is recommended to ensure optimal performance. Periodically check the slotted grating for debris and clear any blockages. The channel itself can be flushed with water to remove accumulated sediment. Use a stiff brush or hose to clean the grating. Avoid using harsh chemicals that could damage the plastic.
