Setup, Compatibility & Care
To ensure your Staurogyne Repens thrives, use a nutrient-rich aquarium substrate. While the plant is hardy, it benefits significantly from root-zone fertilizers.
- Planting: Use aquascaping tweezers to push the roots deep into the substrate.
- Light: Position the plant in areas of the tank that receive at least 0.5 W/L of light.
- Maintenance: Perform routine trims using sharp aquarium scissors. Always trim just above a leaf node to stimulate new growth.
- Compatibility: It works well with most community fish, though avoid placing it in tanks with heavy digging cichlids that might uproot the delicate stems.
