Setup, Compatibility & Care
For optimal growth, transplant your 9cm pot into fertile, well-drained soil. Dig a hole twice the width of the root ball and ensure the plant is set at the same depth it occupied in its nursery pot. Water thoroughly immediately after planting. During the growing season, keep the soil consistently moist; if the soil dries out completely, the plant may wilt or stop flowering. Apply a balanced liquid fertilizer during the spring as new growth begins to support the coming blooms. In late autumn, cut back the foliage to the ground as the plant enters dormancy, and apply a light layer of mulch if you live in an area prone to harsh winter frosts.
