Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setup:
- Ensure the surfaces to be repaired are clean, dry, and free from grease, oil, or rust. Lightly roughening the surface with sandpaper can improve adhesion.
- Cut off the required amount of putty from both sticks.
- Mix the two parts thoroughly by hand until a uniform grey color is achieved. This typically takes 2-3 minutes. Work relatively quickly as the product begins to set in about 1 hour.
- Apply the mixed putty firmly to the prepared area, ensuring complete coverage and good contact.
- Allow the epoxy to cure for the recommended time before subjecting it to stress or heat.
Compatibility:
This epoxy putty is designed for use on most metals, including steel, iron, and aluminum. It is not recommended for use on plastics or other non-metallic materials.
Care:
Store unused putty in its original packaging in a cool, dry place. Once mixed, the putty cannot be re-used. Clean tools and hands immediately after use with soap and water.
