FAQs

How do I clean the pond?

Remove debris with a net. Clean the pump and filter regularly. Partial water changes can help maintain water quality.

What type of plants can I use?

Choose aquatic plants suitable for small ponds, such as water lilies, marginal plants (placed on shelves), and oxygenating plants.

Can I add fish to the pond?

This pond is best suited for small fish or a few small goldfish. Ensure you do not overstock, and always keep in mind the pond's capacity.

How do I protect the pond from freezing?

In colder climates, use a pond de-icer to prevent the pond from freezing solid, which could harm wildlife.

What is the warranty?

Please refer to the product packaging or your point of purchase for warranty information.

Troubleshooting

Pond leaks.

Check the pond for cracks or damage. Repair with a pond liner repair kit if necessary.

Cloudy water.

Check and clean the pump and filter. Introduce beneficial bacteria to balance the ecosystem.

Algae growth.

Ensure adequate sunlight, add aquatic plants to provide shade and compete for nutrients, and consider using an algae control product.

Setup, Compatibility & Care

Site Selection: Choose a level location in your garden, away from overhanging trees (to minimize leaf debris).
Excavation: Dig a hole that matches the pond's dimensions, allowing extra space around the edges for backfilling.
Placement: Carefully place the preformed pond into the excavated hole, ensuring it sits level.
Backfilling: Fill the gaps around the pond with soil, tamping it down to stabilize the pond.
Filling: Fill the pond with water.
Planting: Place aquatic plants on the shelves.
Compatibility: Compatible with most small pond pumps and filters. Ensure pump and filter are suitable for the pond's size.
Care: Regularly remove any debris, such as leaves or algae, to keep the water clean. Check and clean the pump as needed. Ensure the water level is maintained.
