Setup, Compatibility & Care
To establish your Primroses, prepare the soil by incorporating organic matter to improve drainage while ensuring it retains enough moisture. Dig a hole twice the width of the root ball, place the plant, and backfill with soil, firming it gently around the base. Water immediately after planting to settle the roots. For container planting, use a high-quality peat-free compost to ensure adequate nutrient access. Keep the soil consistently moist but never waterlogged; during the spring, a light liquid feed can encourage more robust blooming. In late spring, once the flowering has subsided, you can tidy the plants by removing dead or yellowing foliage to encourage healthy growth for the following season.
