FAQs

How often should I replace the blades?

It is recommended to replace the blade after 3 to 4 uses to ensure the blade remains sharp and hygienic.

Can I use this tool on wet skin?

It is best used on clean, dry skin to allow for the most effective exfoliation and control.

Does facial hair grow back thicker?

No, dermaplaning removes surface hair and does not change the thickness, color, or growth rate of your natural hair.

Is this tool suitable for sensitive skin?

While it features micro-guards for safety, those with highly sensitive or reactive skin should patch test first and use a gentle touch.

Where can I find replacement blades?

You can purchase compatible Wilkinson Sword Intuition replacement blade packs, which are often sold in 3-packs.

Should I apply products after dermaplaning?

Yes, your skin will be freshly exfoliated, so applying a soothing, non-comedogenic moisturizer or serum is highly recommended.

Troubleshooting

Blade feels dull or drags on the skin

The blade has likely reached the end of its effective life; replace it with a new refill.

Skin feels slightly irritated after use

You may be applying too much pressure or using too many passes; use lighter strokes and ensure the skin is held taut.

Blade does not click into the handle

Check the connection point for debris and ensure the blade is aligned correctly before pushing firmly into the handle slot.

Setup, Compatibility & Care

To set up the tool, simply slide the fresh blade refill into the locking mechanism on the handle until it clicks into place. Before every use, disinfect the blade with rubbing alcohol to maintain hygiene. After using the tool, rinse the blade under warm water, pat it dry, and store it in a clean, dry area. To maintain optimal performance, replace the blade after 3-4 uses. This tool is compatible with Wilkinson Sword Intuition Dermaplaning refill blades. Always avoid using the tool on broken or irritated skin and consider applying a soothing serum or moisturizer immediately after treatment to keep the skin hydrated.
