The plate allows paint to be applied and transferred onto paper, fabric, or other materials, resulting in textured, unique prints. To use the Gelli Arts printing plate, apply paints to the surface, then press paper or fabric onto it to transfer the design. Cleaning your gel plate is easy. Use mild soap and water, and gently pat the plate dry with a paper towel. For stubborn paint, baby wipes or gel hand sanitiser can help remove residue. Acrylic paints are the most recommended for gel printing as they work best with the gel plate. Other suitable mediums include water-soluble printmaking inks and fabric paints. However, avoid using dyes like rubber stamp inks or fabric dyes, as they can stain the plate. Store on a smooth, flat surface, and protect it with plain white copy paper. Avoid using plastic wrap or waxed paper, as they can imprint on the plate. For larger plates, use the packaging provided to keep it safe.
