Setup, Compatibility & Care
To install, ensure your cable route is clear of sharp metal edges or high-heat exhaust points. While the cable is weather-resistant, it is recommended to use UV-stable conduit if the cable is exposed to direct sunlight for the majority of the day.
- Measure the distance between your panel and the input point of your inverter.
- Use a cable stripper to expose the ends of the core wire without nicking the copper.
- Crimp approved MC4 or similar connectors onto the ends to ensure a watertight seal.
- Secure the cable using outdoor-rated cable clips every 50cm to prevent sagging.
Regularly inspect the cable ends twice a year for signs of corrosion or moisture ingress, especially if the connectors are in an exposed location.
