Yes, the 'TU' designation signifies a universal pump capable of handling both positive and negative head installations.
While technically possible for advanced DIYers, professional installation is strongly recommended to ensure warranty compliance and proper system integration.
The high-density pad reduces vibration transfer from the motor to the mounting surface, significantly lowering audible noise in the home.
It should be connected to a fused spur, ideally installed by a qualified electrician to ensure safety.
No, this pump is intended for gravity-fed hot and cold water systems. It is not suitable for direct connection to the mains or a combination boiler.
Check for airlocks in the system or ensure the isolation valves on the inlet side are fully open.
Verify the anti-vibration pad is correctly positioned and ensure the pipework is not touching the pump casing or creating resonant vibration.
This often indicates a small leak in the system downstream or an issue with the non-return valves.
Proper installation is critical for the longevity of your pump. Ensure the system is flushed of debris before connection. The pump should be installed in a dry, ventilated area that remains frost-free. Use the provided high-density mounting pad to decouple the pump from the surface. For care, ensure the inlet filters remain free from blockages. Periodically check that the connection hoses are not kinked, as this can lead to cavitation or reduced flow performance.
