Full details

The Cube Attain C:62 Race Road Bike is designed for cyclists seeking a refined, comfortable, and high-performance all-year-round riding experience. Its key benefit lies in blending aerodynamic efficiency with exceptional comfort, reducing rider fatigue on long rides. A potential caveat is that its semi-aero design may not be as purely aggressive as a dedicated race bike. FAQs

What is the main advantage of the C:62 carbon frame?

The C:62 carbon frame offers a balance of lightweight stiffness for performance and compliance features that absorb road vibrations, reducing rider fatigue on longer rides.

Can I fit wider tires on this bike?

Yes, the Cube Attain C:62 Race features 34mm frame clearance, allowing you to fit wider tires for increased comfort, grip, or suitability for varied terrain.

Is this bike suitable for racing?

While it has semi-aerodynamic features and performance components, it is primarily designed as a versatile all-year-round training and club bike. For pure, aggressive racing, a dedicated race bike might be preferred.

How often should I maintain the hydraulic disc brakes?

Regularly inspect brake pads and rotors for wear and contamination. Hydraulic brake systems may require bleeding every 1-2 years, or sooner if you notice a spongy feel or reduced performance. This is best done by a professional mechanic.

What kind of riding is the Shimano 105 groupset best suited for?

The Shimano 105 2x12 groupset is renowned for its reliability and performance, making it excellent for training, club rides, endurance cycling, and even amateur racing.

Does the bike come with pedals?

Bikes are typically sold without pedals to allow riders to choose their preferred type. Please check the specific product listing or contact the retailer for confirmation.

What is the warranty on the Cube Attain C:62 Race Road Bike?

Cube typically offers a warranty on their frames and components. Specific warranty terms and duration can vary, so it is best to consult the official Cube warranty documentation or the retailer for details.

Troubleshooting

Gears not shifting smoothly

Check derailleur hanger alignment. Ensure the derailleur cable is clean and properly tensioned. Clean and lubricate the chain and cassette. If issues persist, a professional adjustment may be needed.

Brakes feel weak or spongy

Inspect brake pads for wear. Check rotor for contamination or damage. For hydraulic brakes, the system may need bleeding to remove air bubbles. Consult a mechanic for brake system maintenance.

Unusual noises during riding

Identify the source of the noise. Common culprits include the bottom bracket, headset, seatpost clamp, or pedals. Ensure all bolts are properly tightened. If the noise persists, seek professional diagnosis.

Tires rubbing against the frame

Verify that the installed tires do not exceed the maximum clearance of 34mm. Ensure the wheels are properly dished and centered in the frame. Check for frame damage or misalignment.

Setup, Compatibility & Care

Initial Setup: While the bike comes mostly assembled, professional final assembly and tuning by a qualified bike mechanic are highly recommended to ensure safety and optimal performance. This includes brake and gear adjustments, tire inflation, and torque checks on all critical bolts.

Compatibility: The Attain C:62 Race is designed to accommodate a variety of components. Key compatibility points include:

Tires: It features 34mm frame clearance, allowing for wider tires than standard road bikes. This enables customization for comfort, grip, or even light gravel use.
Accessories: Integrated top tube mounting points are designed for specific accessory mounts.
Drivetrain: It utilizes a standard road bike bottom bracket and headset, compatible with most modern components.

Care and Maintenance:

Cleaning: Regularly clean the frame and components with mild soap and water. Avoid high-pressure washers, especially around bearings.
Drivetrain: Keep the chain clean and lubricated. Regular cleaning of the cassette and chainrings will ensure smooth shifting.
Brakes: Inspect brake pads and rotors regularly. Hydraulic brake systems may require occasional bleeding by a professional.
Carbon Care: Avoid impacts to the carbon frame and fork. Inspect regularly for any signs of damage, especially after a crash. Consult a professional if any concerns arise.
Storage: Store the bike in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight to preserve materials.
