AB Tools Car Transporter Loading Ramps - 2.5m - 1.5 Ton
Ideal for trailers, car transporters etc. for loading cars, mini diggers and other vehicles. This ...Ideal for trailers, car transporters etc. for loading cars, mini diggers and other vehicles. This listing is for a PAIR of ramps, with two ramps supplied. The long 2.5m (8ft) total length ramps help give a shallow loading angle suitable for lowered cars. The tapered end meets the ground perfectly. Each ramp has a capacity of 1.5 ton per pair at 2m Wheelbase. Ramp width is 270mm (11") and ramp thickness is 55mm (21/4"). Round grips make a non-slip surface for safer loading. Features heavy-duty 1-piece steel construction and is galvanised for corrosion protection. They are lightweight at only 25kg per ramp. You will struggle to find a lighter 8ft long ramp with this capacity! Please note: Soft/uneven ground and wheelbases shorter than 2m will reduce capacity. We recommend ramps are blocked/supported halfway in such applications. Always ensure ramps are stable before use.
This guide helps owners of trailers, car transporters, and similar vehicles effectively use the AB Tools Car Transporter Loading Ramps. These ramps provide a shallow loading angle, ideal for vehicles with low ground clearance. They are built with heavy-duty steel and are designed to make loading cars and mini diggers easier. Keep in mind that soft or uneven ground may reduce the ramp's capacity.

Troubleshooting
Ramps are unstable during loading.
Ensure the ramps are placed on a level and firm surface. Consider using blocks or additional support if the ground is soft or uneven.
Vehicle scrapes when loading.
Check the ramp's position and the vehicle's ground clearance. The 2.5m length is designed for vehicles with low ground clearance, but ensure the approach angle is appropriate.
Ramps appear to bend or flex.
Reduce the load or redistribute weight. Make sure the total weight of the vehicle and its load does not exceed the ramp's capacity. Check the surface for stability.
Pros and Cons
Pros
Shallow loading angle for lowered vehicles.
High weight capacity suitable for various vehicles.
Durable and corrosion-resistant construction.
Non-slip surface enhances safety during loading.
Lightweight design for easy handling.
Cons
Capacity reduced on soft or uneven ground.
Requires stable surface for safe operation.
May require additional support in certain situations.
Setup, Compatibility & Care
Placement: Ensure the ramps are placed on a firm, level surface. The tapered end should meet the ground smoothly.
Wheelbase: These ramps are designed for a 2m wheelbase. Shorter wheelbases may reduce capacity.
Support: On soft or uneven ground, consider using additional supports or blocks under the ramps to maintain stability.
Inspection: Before each use, inspect the ramps for any signs of damage or wear. Do not use if damaged.
Cleaning: Clean the ramps regularly to remove dirt, debris, and any substances that could reduce traction. Use a brush or cloth to wipe them down.
Storage: Store the ramps in a dry place when not in use to prevent corrosion.
