Setup, Compatibility & Care
Kettle Setup: Place the kettle on its 360-degree base. Ensure the power cord is connected to a suitable electrical outlet. Before first use, fill to the maximum line, boil, and discard the water to clean the interior.
Toaster Setup: Plug the toaster into a suitable electrical outlet. No prior setup is required before its first use, though a test run without bread is recommended to burn off any manufacturing residue.
Compatibility: Both appliances are designed for standard UK mains power sockets. Ensure your electrical supply is adequate.
Care Instructions:
- Kettle: Empty and rinse the kettle regularly. Use the removable limescale filter to catch mineral deposits. For deeper cleaning, descale the kettle periodically following manufacturer instructions, typically using a vinegar or citric acid solution.
- Toaster: Always unplug the toaster before cleaning. Empty the crumb tray regularly by sliding it out from the base of the toaster and disposing of the crumbs. Wipe the exterior with a damp cloth. Never immerse the toaster in water.
