Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setup:
- Attach the Drawbar: Secure the drawbar to the trailer frame.
- Attach the Ball Coupling: Connect the ball coupling to the hitch point on your bicycle's rear axle or frame, ensuring it is securely fastened according to the specific hitch type.
- Connect Trailer to Bike: Slide the trailer's drawbar into the ball coupling on the bike and secure it.
- Inflate Tires: Ensure the tires are properly inflated to the recommended pressure for optimal performance.
- Attach Reflectors: Position the high-visibility reflectors on the rear and sides of the trailer for increased safety.
Compatibility:
This trailer utilizes a standard ball coupling system. Ensure your bicycle has a compatible mounting point for the hitch, typically located near the rear wheel axle. It is designed for use with standard bicycles and is not compatible with electric bikes that may have modified rear ends or specific trailer attachments.
Care:
- Cleaning: Wipe the steel frame and polyester cargo compartment with a damp cloth. Avoid abrasive cleaners that could damage the fabric or frame finish. For stubborn dirt on the fabric, use mild soap and water, then rinse and allow to air dry completely.
- Storage: When not in use, fold the drawbar and remove the wheels if desired for more compact storage. Store in a dry place to prevent rust on the steel frame.
- Maintenance: Periodically check all bolts and connections for tightness. Inspect tires for wear and ensure they are properly inflated. Clean the ball coupling mechanism to ensure smooth operation.
