FAQs
Can this rug be used on carpet?
While it can be placed on top of carpet, the anti-slip backing is specifically designed to perform best on hard surfaces.
Is the material safe for children?
Yes, it is designed for domestic use and features a soft-touch finish, though it is recommended for indoor use only.
How do I wash it?
Use a gentle, cold-water machine cycle. Do not tumble dry; air dry naturally to protect the backing.
Does it come in other sizes?
Yes, there is an 80 x 150 cm sibling variant available to suit smaller spaces.
Will the animal print fade?
The digital printing process is durable, but to preserve the vibrancy of the colors, avoid placing the rug in areas with intense, direct sunlight for prolonged periods.
Troubleshooting
Rug edges curling up
Lay the rug flat and place heavy books or furniture on the corners for 24 hours to help it settle.
Rug sliding on floor
Ensure the floor is clean and dust-free before placing the rug. If movement persists, use an additional rug pad.
Pros and Cons
Pros
- Machine washable for stress-free maintenance
- Anti-slip backing improves safety for active children
- Vibrant and engaging animal-themed print
- Soft texture comfortable for sitting or playing
Cons
- Lightweight build may require rug grippers on extremely slippery surfaces
- Limited size options compared to heavy-duty wool rugs
- Best suited for indoor residential use only
Setup, Compatibility & Care
To setup, simply unroll the rug in your desired location; the anti-slip backing should immediately engage with your hard flooring. If the rug edges are curled from packaging, lay it flat for 24-48 hours with light weights on the corners. The rug is compatible with most standard residential flooring types. For care, vacuum regularly to remove loose debris. For deep cleaning, refer to your washing machine's capacity; ensure the rug is balanced in the drum and wash on a gentle, cool cycle. Always air dry the rug to maintain the integrity of the anti-slip backing.
