No, the PYXIS Rosette Plate is specifically engineered for the Blackmagic PYXIS 6K.
Yes, the plate comes with the necessary hardware for installation.
Yes, the multiple mounting points provide enough support for most standard field monitors, though ensure the weight is balanced correctly.
The rosette is designed to lock in handgrips or extension arms at specific angles, preventing rotation during handheld use.
The plate is made from durable metal, making it resistant to standard production wear, though it should be kept dry to prevent thread oxidation.
Ensure that the thread mount being used matches the accessory's screw size (1/4" vs 3/8") and tighten firmly using a screwdriver or appropriate tool.
Loosen the mounting screws slightly, adjust the plate to be flush with the camera body, and tighten in a cross-pattern to ensure even pressure.
To install the plate, align the mounting holes on the plate with the corresponding points on the side of the Blackmagic PYXIS 6K camera. Secure the plate using the appropriate hardware provided with the unit. Once installed, test the stability of any attached accessories. For long-term care, keep the threads clean from grit and dust, and periodically check the mounting screws to ensure they remain tight, especially when using heavy peripherals like larger microphones or wireless transmitters.
