Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setup: Simply plug the Displayport male connector into the Displayport output port of your source device (e.g., computer, graphics card) and the HDMI male connector into the HDMI input port of your display (e.g., monitor, TV, projector). Ensure both ends are securely seated. For optimal performance, ensure your source device is configured to output audio and video via Displayport.
Compatibility: This cable is designed to connect a device with a Displayport output to a device with an HDMI input. It is not a bi-directional adapter; it cannot convert HDMI output to Displayport input. It supports DisplayPort 1.4 and HDMI 2.0 standards, and is generally backward compatible with earlier versions of both standards.
Care: Keep the cable away from sharp bends or excessive force. Clean the connectors with a dry, soft cloth if necessary. Avoid exposing the cable to moisture or extreme temperatures.
