Setup, Compatibility & Care
Proper setup and regular maintenance ensure your Hisense washing machine performs optimally and lasts longer.
Setup Instructions
- Unpacking: Carefully remove all packaging materials, including the transit bolts from the rear of the machine. Keep these bolts in case you need to transport the machine in the future.
- Placement: Position the washing machine on a firm, level surface. Ensure there's adequate space around the unit for ventilation and hose connections.
- Leveling: Use a spirit level to ensure the machine is perfectly level. Adjust the feet at the bottom of the machine as needed to prevent vibrations during operation.
- Water Connection: Connect the water inlet hose(s) to the appropriate cold and hot water taps (if applicable) and to the designated inlet on the machine. Ensure all connections are tight to prevent leaks.
- Drainage: Securely attach the drain hose to your household drain pipe or standpipe, ensuring it's at the correct height as specified in the user manual.
- Power Connection: Plug the power cord into a grounded electrical outlet. Do not use extension cords.
> Info needed: Specific installation details should always refer to the full user manual provided with your appliance.
Compatibility
This washing machine is designed for standard domestic plumbing and electrical systems. Ensure your water pressure and electrical supply meet the specifications outlined in your appliance's manual.
Care & Maintenance
- Drum Clean Function: Regularly use the dedicated Drum Clean program (95ºC cycle) to remove detergent residues, bacteria, and odors, keeping the drum sparkling clean and hygienic.
- Detergent Drawer: Periodically remove and clean the detergent dispenser drawer to prevent buildup and blockages. Rinse it under warm water.
- Door Seal: Wipe the rubber door seal after each wash to remove any trapped lint, hair, or moisture. This helps prevent mold and unpleasant odors.
- Filter Cleaning: The pump filter should be checked and cleaned periodically (e.g., every few months) to remove lint and small objects that may cause blockages.
- Exterior Cleaning: Wipe the exterior of the machine with a soft, damp cloth. Avoid abrasive cleaners or solvents.
- Leave Door Ajar: After a wash, leaving the door slightly ajar can help air circulation and prevent moisture buildup inside the drum.
