The HOMCOM EV Charger is designed for electric vehicle and plug-in hybrid owners who need a flexible, portable charging solution that works both at public stations and residential power outlets. Its primary benefit is its dual-mode versatility, allowing for fast 7kW charging or slower, convenient home charging via a standard UK plug. The main caveat is that full 7kW charging speeds require a dedicated wallbox or high-amperage station, whereas charging via the standard UK adapter is significantly slower at 2.8kW.

Ensure the power plug is fully inserted into the wall outlet and the circuit breaker is active.
Check the connection at the vehicle's charge port to ensure it is fully locked in; verify the delay timer is not set to a long duration.
Unplug the unit from the power source for 60 seconds to reset the MCU chip, then inspect the cable for any physical damage before reconnecting.
To begin using the HOMCOM EV charger, ensure your vehicle is an IEC 62196-2 Type 2 compatible model. For home use, connect the UK adapter securely to a properly grounded domestic socket. Before initiating charge, check the LCD screen to set your desired amperage based on your home circuit's capacity. For maintenance, keep the charging head free of debris and store the cable in a cool, dry place when not in use. While the cable is IP65 rated and impact-resistant, avoid dragging it over sharp edges or pinching the cable in car doors, as this may compromise the outer TPU casing over time.
