FAQs
How often should I water my Pink Flamingo Flower?
Water when the top inch of soil feels dry to the touch. Typically, this means watering once a week, but adjust based on your home's humidity and temperature.
Can this plant tolerate direct sunlight?
No, direct sunlight can scorch the leaves and damage the plant. It thrives in bright, indirect light.
What is the best way to increase humidity for my Anthurium?
You can mist the leaves regularly, place the pot on a pebble tray filled with water, or use a humidifier, especially during dry winter months.
How long do the flowers typically last?
The striking pink spathes are known for their longevity and can last for several weeks, providing a long-lasting display of color.
Can I plant this outdoors?
Yes, in frost-free climates (like USDA zones 10-12) it can be planted in garden beds or containers outdoors. In colder regions, it must be kept indoors or brought inside before frost.
What kind of soil is best for this plant?
Use a well-draining potting mix. A blend designed for aroids or orchids, or a standard houseplant mix with added perlite or bark for drainage, works well.
Troubleshooting
Yellowing leaves
This can be caused by overwatering, underwatering, or insufficient light. Check soil moisture and adjust watering schedule. Ensure the plant receives adequate bright, indirect light.
Brown leaf tips or edges
Typically indicates low humidity or inconsistent watering. Increase humidity around the plant and ensure the soil remains consistently moist but not waterlogged.
No flowers appearing
The plant may not be receiving enough light, or it might need feeding. Ensure it's in a bright location and has been fertilized regularly during the growing season.
Wilting plant
Can be a sign of both overwatering (leading to root rot) or underwatering. Check the soil moisture carefully. If overwatered, allow the soil to dry out and consider repotting if root rot is suspected. If underwatered, water thoroughly.

Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setup: Upon receiving your Anthurium Pink Flamingo Flower, ensure it is healthy and the soil is slightly moist. If repotting, use a well-draining potting mix, such as a blend for aroids or orchids, and a pot with drainage holes. Allow the plant to acclimate to its new environment for a few days before repotting.
Compatibility: This plant is best suited for indoor environments. It can be planted in garden borders, patio pots, and containers in warmer climates (USDA zones 10-12) where frost does not occur. For cooler climates, it should remain in its pot and be brought indoors during colder months.
Care:
- Light: Provide bright, indirect sunlight. Avoid direct sun exposure, which can scorch the leaves.
- Watering: Water thoroughly when the top inch of soil feels dry. Ensure good drainage to prevent root rot. Reduce watering in cooler months.
- Humidity: Anthuriums prefer high humidity. Mist the leaves regularly, use a pebble tray, or place the plant near a humidifier, especially in dry indoor environments.
- Temperature: Maintain average room temperatures between 65-75°F (18-24°C). Avoid cold drafts.
- Fertilizing: Feed with a balanced liquid fertilizer diluted to half strength every 4-6 weeks during the growing season (spring and summer). Reduce or stop fertilizing in fall and winter.
