FAQs
Can I use this bulb with a dimmer switch?
No, this bulb is not dimmable and using it with a dimmer switch may damage the internal electronics or cause the motor to fail.
Does the bulb generate much heat?
As a 3W LED, it generates minimal heat compared to traditional incandescent bulbs, but it should still be used in well-ventilated fixtures.
What is the beam angle of this bulb?
The bulb provides a wide 180-degree beam angle, designed to spread the rotating light effects across a large area of the room.
Is this bulb suitable for outdoor use?
No, this product is intended for indoor use only. Exposing it to moisture or extreme temperatures will void the product integrity.
What happens if the bulb stops rotating?
The rotation is managed by an integrated motor. If the motor fails, the bulb may still emit light, but the disco effect will be lost.
Troubleshooting
The bulb lights up but does not rotate.
Ensure the bulb is fully tightened into the E27 socket to confirm electrical contact. If it still does not rotate, the internal motor may be faulty.
Light flickers or turns off intermittently.
Check that the lamp socket is not connected to a dimmer switch, as dimmers are incompatible with this LED driver.
Pros and Cons
Pros
- Simple plug-and-play installation into standard E27 sockets
- Automatic motor rotation creates an instant party atmosphere
- Extremely low 3W power consumption
- Impressive 20,000-hour operational life
- Wide 180-degree beam angle for maximum room coverage
Cons
- Not suitable for primary room illumination
- No brightness or speed control settings
- Requires a compatible lamp fixture that exposes the bulb
Setup, Compatibility & Care
Installation is straightforward: ensure the power is switched off before inserting the bulb into any standard E27 socket. Because this is a rotating mechanical device, handle the bulb gently during insertion.
- Compatibility: Ensure the fixture is an E27 base. Avoid using the bulb with external dimmer switches, as these can interfere with the internal motor and LED driver electronics.
- Care: Keep the outer glass shell clean by wiping it with a dry, soft cloth. Avoid using harsh chemical cleaners or water. Always allow the bulb to cool down before handling after use.
