FAQs
What are the dimensions of the chair?
The chair measures H90 x D64 x W60 cm.
Is the chair suitable for outdoor use?
This chair is designed for indoor use. Natural rattan may degrade if exposed to rain, direct sun, or high humidity for long periods.
Does the chair come fully assembled?
The chair typically requires minimal setup to attach the base to the seating frame, or may arrive fully assembled depending on your specific shipping configuration.
Can I use this chair on a rug?
Yes, it is perfectly suitable for use on rugs, though we recommend flat-weave rugs to ensure the iron base remains stable.
What is the weight capacity of the armchair?
The chair is built with a sturdy iron base intended for standard adult use; however, avoid standing on the chair to maintain the integrity of the rattan weave.
Troubleshooting
The chair wobbles on the floor
Check if the floor surface is level or if one of the iron base feet requires a small felt pad to level the chair.
Dust buildup in the lattice weaving
Use a can of compressed air or a soft vacuum brush attachment to clear debris from the intricate weave patterns.
Pros and Cons
Pros
- Distinctive, hand-crafted artisanal appearance
- Strong and durable iron base support
- Versatile aesthetic suitable for various home decor styles
- Lightweight construction for easier placement
- High-quality lattice rattan weaving technique
Cons
- Rattan may be sensitive to extreme humidity changes
- Lattice weaving requires consistent cleaning to prevent dust buildup
- Fixed design may not suit those looking for adjustable seating
Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setup: The chair arrives mostly assembled, with the primary focus on ensuring the iron base is placed on a flat, even surface to avoid uneven weight distribution.
Compatibility: Its black finish makes it highly compatible with neutral-toned rugs, industrial-style lighting, or lush indoor greenery. It works best in indoor environments protected from direct, prolonged harsh sunlight to maintain the natural color of the rattan.
Care: To preserve the finish, wipe the rattan periodically with a soft, dry cloth. For deeper cleaning of the weave, use a soft-bristled brush to gently remove dust from the lattice gaps. Avoid using harsh chemical cleaners, as they can damage the natural fibers of the rattan.
