Setup, Compatibility & Care
Application Tips for Optimal Use:
- Skin Preparation: Ensure your skin is clean, hydrated, and primed before applying the concealer. A smooth, moisturized base allows for seamless blending and prevents the concealer from clinging to dry patches.
- Using the Custom Applicator: The applicator is designed to dispense the perfect amount. For precise application on small spots or under-eyes, use the tip. For broader areas, use the flatter side.
- Blending Techniques:
- Fingers: The warmth from your fingertips can help melt the product into the skin for a natural finish. Use gentle tapping motions.
- Damp Sponge: A damp beauty sponge provides a sheerer, more diffused finish and helps press the product into the skin for an airbrushed effect.
- Concealer Brush: A synthetic concealer brush allows for precise application and controlled blending.
- Layering: For areas requiring more coverage, apply a thin layer, blend, and then add another thin layer if needed. Building up coverage in thin layers prevents a cakey appearance.
- Setting (Optional but Recommended): For extended wear and to prevent creasing, especially under the eyes, lightly set the concealer with a translucent setting powder using a soft brush or puff.
Compatibility with Other Products:
The Hourglass Vanish Airbrush Concealer is formulated to be compatible with most liquid, cream, and powder foundations. For best results, use it with a foundation that offers a similar finish (e.g., natural to full coverage). It can be applied both over and under foundation, depending on your preferred technique and coverage needs.
Care and Storage:
- Storage: Store the concealer in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures to maintain its efficacy and consistency.
- Hygiene: To prevent product contamination, avoid direct contact of the applicator with uncleaned skin or other surfaces. If sharing, use a clean spatula to transfer product onto a palette before applying with a separate brush.
- Shelf Life: Like most liquid makeup products, it has a shelf life once opened. Check the Period After Opening (PAO) symbol (usually a number followed by 'M' for months) on the packaging, often found on the product itself.
- Cleaning: The exterior of the tube can be wiped clean with a damp cloth if needed. Do not immerse the product in water.
