The Sealey Engine Dipstick (VS600ED) is an essential diagnostic tool for Audi owners and mechanics who need to manually verify engine oil levels in vehicles equipped with electronic-only oil monitoring systems. Measuring 600mm in length, this tool provides a reliable physical reference for oil volume, ensuring accurate readings for maintenance and instrument panel calibration. While highly effective for specific Audi A4 and A5 3.2 6-cylinder engines, it is important to note that this tool is specialized and not intended for universal use across all vehicle makes or models.

No, this specific model is designed for the 3.2L 6-cylinder engine found in certain Audi A4 and A5 vehicles.
No, you must always check oil levels with the engine turned off to ensure accuracy and user safety.
If there is a significant discrepancy, the digital system likely requires a calibration procedure performed by a qualified technician using the dipstick as the reference.
The VS600ED is typically supplied as a standalone tool; ensure you keep it in a clean storage rack or toolbox drawer.
It is recommended to check your oil at every major service interval or whenever the electronic sensor triggers a low oil warning light.
Ensure you are using the tool on a compatible engine; the tube geometry varies between different Audi models.
Wipe the dipstick with a clean, light-colored cloth before re-insertion to improve contrast.
To use this tool, ensure the engine is turned off and parked on a level surface. Insert the 600mm probe slowly into the designated oil dipstick tube until it bottoms out against the sump base. Extract the tool to view the oil level clearly marked on the indicator. Always wipe the tool clean with a lint-free cloth after every use to prevent debris from entering the engine oil. Store the dipstick in a clean, dry location to prevent bending or contamination. Compatibility is strictly limited to Audi A4 and A5 models with 3.2L 6-cylinder engines; do not attempt to force this tool into engines for which it was not designed.
