Product Information

Full details

The 8Ball 3 Pack Pad Set is an essential safety solution for skaters, cyclists, and action sports athletes looking for reliable impact protection without sacrificing mobility. This combo pack includes wrist guards, knee pads, and elbow pads crafted from abrasion-resistant nylon and shock-absorbing EVA foam, offering a balanced combination of durability and comfort. While the lightweight design is perfect for beginners and recreational users, high-impact aggressive skaters may find the slim profile provides less padding than bulky professional-grade hard-shell alternatives.

FAQs

Are these pads suitable for children?

This set is designed for general use; however, ensure you measure the limb circumference to confirm they provide a snug, safe fit for smaller individuals.

Can I machine wash this set?

No, machine washing can damage the shock-absorbing foam and the nylon outer shell. We recommend hand washing with mild soap and air drying.

Are these pads impact-rated?

They are designed for general recreational protection. They are not certified for high-speed professional motorcycle racing or extreme downhill extreme sports.

Do these fit under jeans?

Yes, due to the lightweight and contoured profile, they are slim enough to fit under most relaxed or loose-fitting jeans.

Is the material waterproof?

The nylon shell is water-resistant, but the foam padding is porous and will absorb water if submerged. Always let them air dry completely after use in wet conditions.

Troubleshooting

Pads sliding down during use

Tighten the nylon straps and ensure the pads are worn directly against the skin or thin base layers rather than over bulky clothing.

Wrist guard palm splint feels uncomfortable

Check that the splint is positioned correctly in the palm pocket; adjust the strap tension to distribute pressure evenly.

Velcro is no longer sticking securely

Remove lint, hair, or debris from the hooks using a small brush or a needle to restore the adhesive grip of the closure.

Pros and Cons

Pros

Complete protection set for wrists, knees, and elbows
Lightweight and breathable nylon material
Easy to put on and remove with secure strapping
Excellent value for beginners and casual athletes
Slim profile allows for comfortable wear under loose clothing

Cons

Not suitable for heavy-duty vert or professional aggressive skating
Velcro straps may lose stickiness over long-term intensive use
Padding thickness is moderate rather than heavy-duty
Lacks extensive ventilation holes compared to high-end racing gear

Setup, Compatibility & Care

To ensure proper protection, follow these steps:

Fitting: Slide the wrist guards on so the splint rests firmly against your palm. Secure the knee and elbow pads by aligning the center of the foam cup with your joints.
Strapping: Tighten the straps until the pads are snug but not cutting off circulation. You should be able to move your joints without the pads rotating around the limb.
Care: Clean the pads by hand-washing in cool water with mild soap. Avoid using a washing machine or dryer, as high heat can degrade the nylon and the foam integrity. Air dry in a shaded area away from direct sunlight to prevent material hardening.
