Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setup: Before use, ensure the engine is cool and the belt tensioner has been released to remove the drive belt. Select the correct tension by tightening the knurled screws against the pulley flange to secure the arms.
Compatibility: This tool is compatible with most standard automotive ribbed crankshaft, alternator, water pump, and AC compressor pulleys that utilize a ribbed belt drive system.
Care: After each use, wipe down the tool with a clean rag to remove grease and debris. Because of the black phosphate finish, store the tool in a dry, moisture-free environment. Periodically check the threads of the knurled screws and apply a light machine oil if they become stiff or gritty.
