Troubleshooting

Summerhouse door is stiff or won't close properly

Check for any obstructions, warped wood, or misaligned hinges. Adjust hinges if necessary. Ensure the base is level.

Water ingress or leaks

Inspect the roof felt, door seals, and cladding for gaps or damage. Reapply sealant to any cracks or gaps. Ensure roof felt is properly installed and overlapping.

Wood appears to be swelling or shrinking

This is natural wood behavior. Ensure adequate ventilation. If swelling is severe, check for prolonged moisture exposure.

Base coat not drying or peeling

Ensure the wood was dry when the base coat was applied and that environmental conditions (temperature, humidity) are suitable for drying. Ensure a compatible top coat is used for subsequent treatments.
