Pros and Cons

Pros

  • Highly visible and effective for safety demarcation.
  • Provides a complete solution for creating temporary barriers.
  • Specifically relevant for hybrid and electric vehicle maintenance areas.
  • Bases can be weighted for enhanced stability.

Cons

  • Requires filling bases with sand for optimal stability, an extra step.
  • Chain length may be limiting for very large areas.
  • Primarily for temporary use; not a permanent fencing solution.

Setup, Compatibility & Care

Setup:

  1. Assemble the posts by attaching them to the bases.
  2. *(Optional but recommended for stability)* Fill the hollow bases with dry sand. Ensure the sand is dry to avoid potential issues.
  3. Connect the posts using the provided plastic chain, threading it through the designated points on the posts or using the securing hooks.
  4. Position the barrier as needed.

Compatibility:

  • This kit is designed for general temporary barrier needs and is particularly suited for use around vehicle maintenance areas, especially hybrid and electric vehicles.
  • The plastic chain and posts are intended for visual demarcation and light physical obstruction; they are not designed to withstand significant force.

Care:

  • Clean posts and chain with a damp cloth as needed. Avoid abrasive cleaners.
  • Store components in a dry place when not in use to prolong their lifespan.
  • Ensure bases are emptied of sand before long-term storage or transport to reduce weight and prevent moisture buildup.
