This woodstain provides an easy-to-maintain protective, microporous, low sheen finish for exterior timber above ground, such as rough sawn wood, barge boards, cladding, and decking. Its special formulation resists cracking, blistering, and peeling. Available in ready-mixed colours including clear, light oak, antique pine, redwood, walnut, mahogany, medium oak, jacobean oak, teak, ebony, pine, and rosewood. Ensure surfaces are sound, clean, dry, and free from dust, grease, or polish. Treat mould or lichen with Sterilisation Wash as directed. Remove flaking or cracked varnish and fill cracks or joints with wood filler. Rub down existing varnish with fine waterproof abrasive paper, rinse, and allow to dry. Remove previous treatments from painted wood using Paint and Varnish Stripper. Avoid inhaling dust and wear a suitable face mask. Johnstone's Trade Woodworks Matt Finish Woodstain is also suitable for new or old wooden surfaces, offering excellent coverage and opacity for a rich, even finish. It is easy to apply with a brush or roller and is highly resistant to cracking, peeling, fading, harsh weather, and UV radiation, ensuring long-lasting protection and beauty for wooden structures. The fast-drying formula allows for multiple coats in a single day.
