We focus on using whole food ingredients grown on family farms that practice regenerative agriculture, for our baby and for yours." Serenity, Joe & Della. Simple Ingredients: Organic Cassava Root, Organic Olive Oil, Organic Pea & Pumpkin Seed Protein, Organic Vegetable & Herbs, White Cheddar Cheese. When is Baby Ready for Puffs? When they can: Sit independently, Use pincer grasp to self-feed, Crawl with their stomach off the ground, Use their jaws to mash food between gums. About Serenity Kids Grain Free Baby Puffs Our Grain Free Organic Baby Puffs are suitable for toddlers who can sit independently, use pincer grasp to self-feed, crawl with their stomach off the ground or use their jaws to mash food between gums. Plus, they easily dissolve in the mouth - so no teeth necessary! All of our Grain Free Puffs Baby Snacks contain whole food ingredients like 100% organic cassava root flour, unlike most other puffs on the market which contain fillers like grains, rice, or wheat - these are known to be hard for developing bodies to digest and are also known to contain elevated levels of heavy metals. We selectively source our grain-free puffs ingredients from farmers that practice regenerative agriculture or are fair trade certified. So when you’re snacking, you’re also helping empower the people, farmers, and animals who are a part of making our planet a better place. Unopened, a can will last up to nine months from the date of production. Expiration date is listed on the bottom of the can. We recommend six servings per container and that your little one (or you!) consumes the canister within 5-7 days of opening it for maximum freshness. Serenity Kids Grain Free Baby Puffs FAQs: How are the Grain Free Puffs made? Our Grain Free Puffs are made through a food processing method called extrusion. It’s when soft mixed ingredients are forced through a small opening with high air pressure and high temperature to produce a desired shape, in our case - stars! Our puffs then go through a short drying step to remove excess moisture in order to get them to the desired texture. Then, we spray them with organic olive oil for healthy fats and dust them with the organic dehydrated vegetable seasoning blend. They are sent off to a secondary drying step before being packaged and sealed for freshness. What age does my baby need to be to start eating Grain Free Puffs? Babies and toddlers can start eating puffs when they can sit independently, use pincer grasp to self feed, crawl with their stomach off the ground, use their jaws to mash food between gums, typically around 7 months and up. Do they need to have teeth? Is it a choking hazard? Our Grain Free Puffs are 16-18mm in diameter and they are safe to consume for babies and toddlers per the industry standard. Our puffs begin to dissolve when they interact with saliva, so no teeth are needed to eat them. However, with all foods, we recommend that a child not be left unattended while feeding. Is it recyclable? Why is the label not recyclable? Yes, our canister can be recycled in a standard plastic recycling bin after the outside label is taken off with the easy to remove perforation tear away. We are working on other options so that we can make the entire packaging recyclable in the future. How long will a canister last? How long is it good for when opened? Unopened, a can will last up to nine months from the date of production. Expiration date is listed on the bottom of the can. We recommend six servings per container, 1/3 cup per serving, and that your little one (or you!) consumes the canister within 5-7 days of opening it for maximum freshness. What is cassava flour? Where does it come from? Cassava flour is a whole food clean ingredient that is transformed from 100% raw cassava root into a high-quality gluten-free flour that mimics baking performance characteristics similar to grains. The cassava flour that we use is not only organic, but it is also Fair Trade Certified, gluten-free certified, non-allergenic, nut and grain free, non-gmo and Kosher certified. For information about where it is sustainably sourced, read about the small holder farmers on our missions page. Is there a possibility of allergen or cross-contamination? Our Grain Free Puffs are allergen-free. While soy, dairy, and tree-nuts (almond and coconut) are used on the same system at different times, the line is fully cleaned, sanitized, and dried before our production run. What temperature do these need to be stored at? Can you freeze them? What happens if left in a hot car? We recommend storing our Grain Free Puffs at room temperature. If you choose to refrigerate them, we recommend an airtight container. If the container is not airtight while refrigerated, the puffs could absorb moisture and go stale quicker. While leaving them in a hot car will not affect the safety of consumption, it could degrade the quality quickinches Nutrition Facts Serving size: 1/3 Cup (7 g) Broccoli & Spinach Amount per serving% Daily Value Calories 30
