Shimano RT86 XT Ice-Tec 6-Bolt Disc Rotors are crafted from a durable stainless steel/alloy 3-layer sandwich construction designed to effectively manage heat during rides. This unique clad steel/alloy/steel rotor construction facilitates rapid heat dissipation through its aluminum core, leading to surface temperature reductions of approximately 50 degrees Celsius. When paired with Ice-Tec pads, surface temperatures can decrease from around 400 to 300 degrees Celsius, significantly enhancing overall performance. Ice-Tec rotors contribute to extended pad life, reduced noise, and minimized fade due to their superior heat dispersion capabilities. Key features include a 6-bolt mounting system, a rotor contact surface optimized for excellent pad clearing and cooling, and a large forged alloy spider that boosts rigidity while reducing weight.
