Setup, Compatibility & Care
To ensure your jars last, always inspect the lid seal before use, especially if you are canning. If the lid appears dented or the seal compound looks damaged, replace it to ensure an airtight closure. While the glass jar is dishwasher safe, moisture is the enemy of the metallic lid; after hand-washing the lid, dry it thoroughly with a soft cloth before placing it back on the jar to prevent rust. Avoid using abrasive sponges on the embossed exterior to maintain the clarity and finish of the glass. The jars should be stored in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight to preserve the color and quality of light-sensitive spices.
