Full details

The Ochama x SONGMICS 5 kg Neoprene Hex Dumbbells are an essential tool for home fitness enthusiasts looking to improve muscle tone, strength, and cardiovascular health. These durable cast-iron weights feature a slip-resistant neoprene coating and an ergonomic handle design that reduces hand fatigue during repetitive sets. While they are ideal for targeted exercises like arm toning and shoulder strengthening, the 5 kg fixed weight makes them less versatile for users requiring progressive weight adjustments throughout their fitness journey.

FAQs

Can I use these outdoors?

While the neoprene is durable, it is recommended to store them indoors to avoid exposure to harsh weather, which could degrade the coating over time.

What is the weight of each dumbbell?

Each dumbbell weighs exactly 5 kg, for a total of 10 kg per set.

Will these damage my floor?

The neoprene coating is softer than raw cast iron or steel, significantly reducing the risk of scratches or dents on most flooring surfaces.

Are the handles textured for grip?

Yes, the handles feature a matte texture designed to improve grip and reduce hand fatigue.

What are the dimensions of each dumbbell?

Each dumbbell is 21 cm long and 10.4 cm wide, with a comfortable handle length of 11.4 cm.

Do I need special gloves for these?

No, the neoprene coating and ergonomic handle are designed to provide a secure grip without the need for additional lifting gloves.

Troubleshooting

Dumbbells are slippery during use

Wipe the neoprene coating with a clean, slightly damp cloth to remove any accumulated oils or sweat that may have built up.

Dumbbells have collected dust or lint

Use a lint roller or a piece of adhesive tape to easily lift dust particles from the neoprene surface.

Pros and Cons

Secure, non-slip grip provided by the neoprene finish
Hexagonal shape prevents rolling and adds stability to your workout space
Solid cast iron construction offers premium durability
Ergonomic handle design significantly reduces hand strain
Compact size is perfect for home gym storage

Cons

Fixed 5 kg weight means they are not adjustable for progressive training
Neoprene surface can attract lint and dust if not stored properly
Limited weight capacity for users targeting heavy lifting or maximum resistance

Setup, Compatibility & Care

No assembly is required; these dumbbells are ready to use immediately upon unboxing. To maintain the life of your equipment:

Cleaning: Wipe the neoprene surface with a damp cloth and mild soap if needed to remove perspiration or dust. Avoid using abrasive chemicals that could degrade the coating.
Storage: Keep in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight to prevent the neoprene from becoming brittle over time.
Compatibility: These weights are compatible with any standard fitness routine, floor mat, or home weight rack. Ensure they are kept on a flat surface to maximize the benefit of the anti-roll design.
