FAQs

Can I fit more than two rods in this holdall?

This model is specifically designed to store two ready-made rods comfortably with a padded divider. Adding more may compromise the protective features.

Is the holdall completely waterproof?

It is constructed from waterproof PVC coated fabric and uses water-resistant zippers, providing excellent protection against rain and spray.

What is the maximum length of rod this can hold?

The holdall is 1.95m long, designed to accommodate standard two-piece match rods of that length or shorter.

Does it have a shoulder strap?

Yes, it is designed for comfortable transport and features ergonomic carrying solutions for the angler on the move.

Will my reels fit in the padded area?

The main compartment is designed to accommodate standard modern match reels mounted on ready-made rods.

How do I best maintain the PVC exterior?

Simply wipe clean after use and keep it out of prolonged direct sunlight to prevent the material from becoming brittle over time.

Troubleshooting

Zippers feel stiff or difficult to close

Clean any accumulated dirt or debris from the zipper teeth using a soft brush and apply a silicone-based zipper lubricant if necessary.

Interior straps are not holding rods securely

Check for obstructions in the strap mechanism and ensure the rods are positioned correctly within the padded divider channel before tightening.

Exterior shows scuffs or light marking

The PVC fabric is durable; light scuffs can usually be removed with a mild soap solution and a soft cloth.

Setup, Compatibility & Care

To set up the holdall, undo the PU coated zips fully and place your rods into the individual padded slots. Ensure the rods are secured using the internal fixing straps to prevent sliding. When cleaning, simply wipe down the exterior PVC surface with a damp cloth or sponge; avoid using harsh chemical cleaners that may degrade the waterproof coating. Store the holdall in a dry, cool place away from direct sunlight to maintain the integrity of the synthetic materials. Periodically inspect the zippers to ensure they remain clear of mud and debris for optimal performance.
