Bartoline Ready Mix Wood Filler is an ideal solution for DIY enthusiasts and professionals looking to repair imperfections in interior or exterior woodwork such as doors, skirting boards, and window frames. Its primary benefit is a highly flexible, strong adhesive bond that can be finished with paint, varnish, or stain to perfectly match your decor. Users should note that for deep repairs, application must be limited to a maximum thickness of 6mm per layer to ensure proper setting and structural integrity.

Yes, it is suitable for exterior wood, but ensure the repair is finished with paint or varnish to protect the filler from direct weather exposure.
You should not exceed a maximum thickness of 6mm for a single application; use multiple layers if the repair is deeper.
No, you must wait until the filler is fully set and has been sanded smooth before applying any paint, varnish, or stain.
You must remove all rotten wood and treat the area before filling; the filler is for repairs and not for consolidating decayed material.
Always seal the lid tightly after each use to prevent air from entering and drying out the product.
The application layer likely exceeded 6mm. Apply in multiple thinner layers for deep repairs, allowing time for each to set.
Ensure the surface was completely clean, dry, and free of dust or oily residue before application.
Ensure the humidity in the room is not too high and the application thickness does not exceed the recommended 6mm limit.
Before starting your project, ensure the target area is completely clean, dry, and free of dust, grease, or loose particles. If the wood has suffered from moisture damage, you must dig out all rotten material to reach solid, healthy wood, as the filler cannot provide a permanent fix over decaying matter. When applying, use a suitable filling knife to push the product into the repair, overfilling slightly to account for minor shrinkage during the drying process. After the filler has set, sand the area with fine-grit sandpaper until flush with the surrounding surface. Keep the container tightly sealed when not in use to prevent the remaining filler from drying out.
