FAQs

What are the exact dimensions of this bedspread?

The bedspread measures 180cm x 235cm.

Is the fabric machine washable?

Please consult the specific care label attached to your product. Generally, velvet requires delicate handling and often prefers professional cleaning to maintain its texture.

Does the color look exactly as it does on my screen?

While we strive for accuracy, color reproduction can vary based on individual screen calibration and lighting conditions in your home.

Can this be used as a primary blanket?

Yes, it provides warmth and comfort, though it is often used as a decorative top layer or an additional throw for extra coziness.

Will the scalloped edges fray easily?

The edges are designed for durability, but they should be handled with care during washing or cleaning to prevent snagging the hand-stitched detailing.

Troubleshooting

Visible wrinkles or creases in the velvet

Use a handheld steamer on a low setting to gently release wrinkles, holding the steamer a few inches away from the fabric surface.

Minor dust or lint accumulation

Use a soft-bristled upholstery brush or a velvet-specific lint roller to gently remove surface debris without damaging the fibers.

Pros and Cons

Pros

Exceptionally soft and comfortable velvet texture
Sophisticated design with elegant scalloped edging
High-quality craftsmanship with hand-stitched detailing
Deep olive green color provides a stylish, timeless aesthetic

Cons

Velvet material may require specialized cleaning
Color appearance may vary slightly based on screen calibration
Intricate edges require careful handling during laundry to avoid damage

Setup, Compatibility & Care

Setting up the Brady Scalloped Bedspread is straightforward: simply drape it over your bed, ensuring the scalloped edges are evenly aligned with the foot and sides. Measuring 180cm x 235cm, it is compatible with most standard single or full-sized bed configurations where a drape effect is desired.

To ensure the longevity of the velvet fabric and the hand-stitched elements, always check the care label provided with the product. Generally, velvet should be handled gently; avoid harsh agitation or bleaching agents. If the fabric becomes wrinkled, consider using a fabric steamer from a distance rather than a high-heat iron to preserve the integrity of the velvet pile and the intricate edges.
