Full details
The Sealey F8COMBO Funnel Combo 8pc is designed for DIY enthusiasts and professional mechanics who require versatile fluid transfer solutions. Its key benefit lies in its comprehensive set of funnels catering to a wide array of applications, from oil changes to coolant top-ups. A potential caveat is that the specialized nature of some funnels may mean they are not used as frequently as standard funnels in a general toolkit.

FAQs
What types of fluids can be used with this funnel set?
The Sealey F8COMBO is suitable for most common automotive fluids such as engine oil, coolant, transmission fluid, power steering fluid, and washer fluid. Always check material compatibility if transferring less common or aggressive chemicals.
Are the flexible spouts removable?
Yes, the flexible spouts on the valved and filter funnels are removable for easier cleaning and for use with or without the spout.
How do I clean the integral filters?
The integral wire mesh filters can be cleaned by rinsing them under running water, using a soft brush if necessary, to remove any trapped debris. Ensure they are completely dry before reassembly or storage.
What are the dimensions of the fixed spout funnels?
The set includes four fixed spout funnels with diameters of 77mm, 96mm, 113mm, and 138mm.
Can the lidded funnel be used for long-term fluid storage?
Yes, the 200mm closing lid and dust cover are designed to help prevent contamination and spills, making it suitable for temporary storage of fluids.
Is this set suitable for diesel or gasoline transfer?
While suitable for many automotive fluids, it is best to use funnels specifically designed or rated for fuel transfer when handling gasoline or diesel to ensure safety and material compatibility.
What is the material of the funnels?
The set includes a mix of durable plastic for the economy fixed spout funnels and potentially metal components for filters and spouts on specialized units. Specific material details for each component are not provided in the product description.
Troubleshooting
Fluid flow is slow or blocked.
Check the integral filter for debris and clean it. Ensure the spout is not kinked if using a flexible spout funnel.
Valve on the valved funnel does not seal properly.
Inspect the valve mechanism for any obstructions or damage. Ensure the valve is fully closed. Clean the valve seat if necessary.
Square oil funnel does not fit container well.
This funnel is designed for specific container shapes; try an alternative funnel from the set if the aperture does not create a sufficient seal.
Plastic parts feel brittle.
Avoid exposing plastic funnels to extreme temperatures or harsh chemicals that could degrade the material. Store in a temperate environment.

Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setup: This set requires no assembly. Each funnel is ready for immediate use upon unboxing.
Compatibility: The Sealey F8COMBO is designed for general fluid transfer applications, including engine oils, coolants, transmission fluids, and power steering fluids. Ensure the funnel diameter and aperture size are appropriate for the container being filled and the opening of the target system. The material should be compatible with the fluids being transferred; standard plastic and metal construction is suitable for most automotive fluids.
Care: After each use, clean the funnels thoroughly with soap and water. For funnels with filters, ensure the mesh is free of debris. Dry all components completely before storing to prevent rust or residue buildup. The flexible spouts can be detached for easier cleaning. Store the set in a dry place, utilizing the hanging tabs on the fixed spouts where available.
