The AV Link Scart Switch Box 2 Way in Black is designed for users needing to connect multiple older audio-visual devices to a single Scart input on a TV or display. Its key benefit is simplifying connections and reducing cable clutter. A caveat is that it only supports analogue signals and does not convert video formats. This simple switch box allows seamless switching between two Scart sources, such as VCRs, DVD players, or Freeview boxes, and one Scart display, using the included 50cm connecting lead.

A Scart switch box allows you to connect multiple devices with Scart outputs (like a VCR, DVD player, or set-top box) to a single Scart input on your TV, and then select which device is active.
No, this switch box is designed for analogue Scart connections only. It will not work with HDMI inputs or digital signals. You would need an adapter or a different type of switcher for HDMI devices.
No, this is a passive switch box. It simply routes the existing analogue signal from one of the two inputs to the single output. It does not convert signal formats.
There is a physical switch on the side of the box. You simply move the switch to the position corresponding to the input you wish to view (e.g., input 1 or input 2).
The switch box comes with a 50cm connecting lead.
Most Blu-ray players use HDMI for output. If your Blu-ray player also has an analogue Scart output, then yes, you could connect it. However, for the best picture quality, HDMI is recommended.
No, this is a passive Scart switch box and does not require external power.
Check that all Scart cables are securely connected to both the switch box and the devices. Ensure the correct input is selected on the switch box. Verify that the Scart lead connecting to the TV is firmly seated. Try swapping the input cables to rule out a faulty cable or device.
Try connecting the non-working device to the other input socket on the switch box. If it still doesn't work, the issue may be with the source device or its Scart cable rather than the switch box. Test the non-working device directly with the TV if possible.
Ensure all Scart connections are clean and fully inserted. Check the quality of the Scart cables used; older or damaged cables can degrade signal quality. The switch box itself is passive, so signal issues often stem from the connected equipment or cables.
Avoid forcing the switch. Ensure no cables are putting strain on the box. A slight stiffness can be normal, but if it is excessive, check for obstructions or damage.
