Create stunning edible lace decorations with the Beautiful Butterflies Large 3D Cake Lace Mat. This food-safe silicone mat, designed by award-winning Claire Bowman, features intricate 3D designs of butterflies and dragonflies, replicating the layers and depths of real lace. Achieve free-standing butterflies by using pearlised pre-mixed Cake Lace. The mat itself measures approximately 11.8" x 15.7" (30cm x 40cm) and can also be used as an impression mat. To use, spread Cake Lace mixture onto the mat, bake at 80°C for 12-15 minutes, and cool for 5 minutes. The finished Cake Lace remains moist and pliable for months. It can be applied to sugarpaste with water or a water brush, and is compatible with ganache and swiss meringue buttercream.
