The Gardening Naturally Seaweed Soil Enhancer is designed for home gardeners looking to naturally boost plant health and improve soil structure without synthetic additives. Sourced from sustainably harvested Ascophyllum Nodosum, this granular seaweed provides essential nutrients like nitrogen, potassium, and magnesium while naturally deterring slugs through its coarse, spiky texture. While highly effective at stimulating growth and increasing yields, users must be diligent about reapplication every 3 to 4 weeks to maintain both the nutrient levels and the protective barrier around their plants.

Yes, it is a 100% natural product and poses no known toxicity concerns for pets.
While intended for beds and planters, it can be used indoors, though the texture is primarily optimized for outdoor slug deterrence.
It provides essential nutrients and growth hormones, but heavily hungry plants may still require supplemental feeding depending on the soil quality.
Coverage depends on the density of your planting, but a standard bag is typically sufficient for a small to medium-sized vegetable patch or several large planters.
Yes, mixing it into the soil is an excellent way to improve organic matter content, though you should apply an additional surface layer if you specifically need slug protection.
Ensure the 50mm wide band is continuous and that there are no gaps where slugs can crawl through to reach the plant stem.
Apply the product during a dry period and ensure you lightly water it in to fix the granules in place, then reapply after heavy rain.
To apply, clear any debris from the soil surface and spread a 2/3mm deep layer of granules in a circle at least 50mm wide around the base of each plant. It is essential to water the area thoroughly after application to settle the granules into the soil. Reapply the treatment every 3 to 4 weeks, or sooner if heavy rainfall has washed away the protective barrier. The product is compatible with all standard soil types and is safe for use on all plant varieties. Store the bag in a cool, dry place to prevent the seaweed from breaking down prematurely.
